Adingra is a very raw winger, almost a throwback to an old style winger. Not the tricky type of winger, who had dancing feet and would jink in and out of defenders, but the pure pace style, who would look to get to the byline. A lot does depend on which wing he is playing on, as he can play either side, but a lot of the time that can be his game.

He can be a bit one-dimensional, but he is still learning and improving, so that should change over time. Adingra has very good technique, extremely quick feet, but he does lack a range of skills. Basically he has two moves, if they work brilliant, but they only really can be used in a small range of circumstances.

If he is running with the ball at his feet, he has the step over, which he does very well, but it does not work against better defenders, no matter how quick his feet are. Then there is the nutmeg, which he likes to do on a player running at him. Again, it only works sometimes, and limits his ability to beat a man and create space.

A lot of his problems stem from his tendency to look to use his pace all the time, Adingra is capable of weaving around challenges, but not when running hard. Unfortunately, he is always looking to move as fast as possible when, most of the time, just moving a little slower would allow him to achieve more. He does have a very good shot, for example, but often can lack the composure to control the shot probably.

He is also a bit lightweight, a defender leaning into him knocks him out of balance and Adingra is unable to do much with the ball then. There is a fair bit of promise there and if he develops properly, he can play a big role in Sunderland's future. He could be key for their chances of staying in the Premier League.
